Duties and responsibilities:
Environmental health specialist should respond to walk-in and telephone complaints and requests for information on regulations, procedures, systems and precedents relating to an assigned program. They also collect random samples of water, soil, waste, food and animals suspected of contamination for processing and assessment. Another thing they do is that they teach educational presentations on food-safety and other regulated topics. Testify in judicial and semi judicial proceedings and hearings Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

I dont want to be an environmental health specialist because i think they have too much pressure. They are a good role model because they help people. I like this career but i preffer dentist.

- Know how to use computer applications that relate to the job including but not exclusive to Microsoft Windows, Word, Office, Excel, Internet and E-Mail applications, and other modern office procedures.
- Know the general principles of biological, physical and chemical sciences used in environmental health and safety.
- Know the general principles and application of microbiology as it relates to food-safety and disease transmission.
- Know the general principles and application of chemistry as it relates to different materials.
- Know the principles and procedures of record keeping
- Have an appropiate use of English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
I dont want to be an environmental health specialist because i think they have too much pressure. They are a good role model because they help people. I like this career but i preffer dentist.
