I think this quote means that you have to persist to actually accomplish whatever you want to do. I like this quote because it is true if you don't persue your dreams they are never going to come true. For example if you want to own a big house next to the beach, first of all you have to study hard, then get a job that has a good salary and doing that you would be able to afford the money to buy whatever house you desire to buy. This is a great example of persistence because it is hard to get to the end but everything is hard in life. Everything is about this quote because being persistent is the same as being sucessful.

Perfusionist

Duties and responsibilities:
Clinical perfusionists operate circulation equipment during medical situations when it is necessary to temporarily and artificially replace the patient's circulatory or respiratory functions.  This occurs during heart surgery and similar operations. Their duties include: 

• Operating heart-lung machines
• Administering some types of anesthesia
• Administering some types of medication
• Control the temperature of patients during surgery

Average Salary:  $50,000

Educational Requirements:
Students may have a high school diploma with a strong background in biology and chemistry is required to be accepted in perfusionist training programs.  Admissions preference is given to students with college science work or experience in respiratory therapy and medical terminology. 
Perfusionist training programs are available at academic health centers, medical schools and universities. Course length varies, but for the school to be recognized by the American Academy of Cardiac Perfusionists, the curriculum must include the supervised performance of 150 procedures to include 20 pediatric cases. 

I would like to be a perfusionist because I think it is an interesting job. I like to be responsible and have a big task so, I think this is a great option for me. I like how biology and chemistry are mix up to create this awesome job. I think it is hard but it is fun at the same time.

I think this quote means that If you are persistent you can achieve whatever goal you want to achieve. You may think this is not true but it is because when you try to reach a goal the best thing you can do is go fot it instead of just be sitting and thinking about it. I like this statement because it is realistic and comes from a man who persued his dreams until he achieve them, he is a medal holder. An example of this statement is when you want high grades you have to do your homework and classwork otherwise you would stay on the same place or worst. It is better to try your best than not trying at all.
I am going to persist on my idea of being a successful and recognized pediatric dentist. What i am going to do is try to enroll into college study and get my doctorade.

Osteopathic Physician, D.O.

Duties and responsibilities:
Osteopathic Physicians diagnose and treat injuries and diseases. They study the importance of the musculoskeletal system, holistic medicine, proper nutrition, and environmental factor in maintaining good health. They work primarily in osteopathic hospitals or private practice, however many allopathic hospitals now accept osteopathic physicians as staff members. The majority of osteophats are general practitioners, family practitioners, or emergency medicine specialists.

Average Salary:  $110,000

Educational requirements:
Students should take the most challenging high school courses available in science, math, and English. 
After three or four years of college, prospective physicians must attend medical school.  Undergraduate requirements for admission to all medical schools include one year of basic chemistry, one year of organic chemistry, one year of biology, and one year of physics.  Some medical schools also require course work in calculus, English, the humanities, or social science. 

Medical school usually includes two years of additional study in both basic and clinical sciences and is followed by a year-long hospital internship.  Physicians who want to specialize must then undertake a three-year residency in their specialty. 

 I don't want to be an osteopathic physician because i don't like to work with bones but i find this career interesting and the salary is elevated. I think this career is fun and i would like to see a classroom of osteopathic physicians.

I think this quote means that if you are good with others and you feel good with yourself that means you are a good person. In the real world no one cares if you feel right but everybody cares if you choose the right. For example, if you treat your friends with respect and amability you are choosing the right. when you try your best are everything that you do, you are choosing the right. If people go with you to talk and for advices you are choosing the right. All those examples are things that good people do. If you are a good person you cannot choose the wrong. Therefore, you will succeed. 

Optometrist

Duties and responsibilities:
Optometrists treat vision problems. Some optometrists specialize in industrial vision safety, treatment of vision related learning disabilities, and environmental vision care. Most of them are self-employed, however many work for hospitals, government agencies, optical manufacturers, or universities.

Salary: $78,000

Education:
Students should take the most challenging high school courses available in math, science, and English. At least two years of college in a pre-proffesional program is required. Optometrist must take and pass state exams before starting to practice.

R: I would like to be an optometrist because i want to be self employed and i think it looks fun. I like to study the eyes of people so i think i would be a great option for my future. Also, I think it is interesting and i can help people.

Video Summary

I think the president just wanted every american to be healthy and live better. He was trying to persuade people to see how fun was to excercise in groups and create a pattern in their lives. The president made a good pont by saying that every people have to exercise physically in order to know how to excersice mentally. I like the way he tried to encourage people to excercise instead of giving commands he just mentioned it. I think it was awesome how many people were exercising after he said that.

I think this quote means that exercising apply not just physically but mentally. We have to create a pattern in our lives to live better. Not everything is about a great body neither a great mind. Everything has to be in proportion in order to be healthy. Studies have shown that someone who is healthy is most likely to live more years. I like this quote because it encourages me to be healthy and think about what i neer in order to consider myself healthy. Is funny to think about someone with a muscular body but if they do not know how to read they are nothing.

Optician

Duties and responsibilities:
Opticians measure patients eyes, using measuring devices. Prepare work orders and instructionfor fabricating eyeglasses. Mantain records or costumer prescriptions, work orders, and payments. They perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory and sales.

Salary: $19,000 - $40,000

Education: 
Students should take high school courses in physics, algebra, mechanical drawing, and geometry. Students need a high school diploma or GED in order to begin the training. They can either complete a two-year course or they can complete an approved three year on the job apprenticeship.


I would like to be an optician because i think it is pretty interesting and i like the administrative duties. I think it is awesome how one person can perform in those many different areas. I like challenges and i think this is a great one.

I think this quote means that you always have to try your best and you will be surprise of how much you can do. People will always talk and say you can't do nothing but you don't have to show them you can, show that to yourself make goals and walk towards them.  For example if you want to pass all your classes with straight A's you just have to go to school everyday do your homework, your classwork, study for your tests and you will be able to achieve your goal. It is not hard when you really want to make it happen.

Ophthalmic Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ophthalmic technicians help ophthalmologists collect information from patients and machinery to allow the correct diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems.  Most of the time they work at hospitals, clinics, or for ophthalmologists in private practice.  Their duties often include: 

• Performing simple eye exams.
• Assisting with eye surgery.
• Explaining diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients

Average Salary: $14,000-$25,000

Educational Requirements:

To become an Ophtalmic technician students should have a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of training programs. Some programs may take up to 2 years to complete.

 I think this quote means that anything you say you could get it if you really want to do it. I like this quote because i think it is true. For example, if someone say they are going to graduate from high school and they set that as a goal and work towards it they are most likely to accomplish it. Despite some people may say it but not work and that's not going to help. It easy to say something but once you set that as a goal there is no way to stop walking towards it.

Progress Report 100 goals

i haven't done any of my goals since the last progress report. I have been too busy and i haven't read my goals. I'm still on progress to accomplish 3 of my biggest goals like graduate from high school, get straight A's and go to college. I think i am going to accomplish them all but for now i am on the right path so i think it is not going to be hard. I have confidence on myself. I am doing great and that's not goinmg to change. I am proud of me because of setting this goals for myself, even though i know it's a little bit tough to accomplish them all it is not impossible. Everyday i am a step forward to accomplish a lot of them and why not be able  to accomplish them all. I find my life planning easy to read and i think that is why i am getting near to all of my goals.

Operating Room Technician

Duties and responsibilities:
Operating room technicians are also called surgical technicians or surgical technologists.  They prepare operating rooms for surgery.  They are responsible for having surgical instruments, and all the equipment necessary ready for the operation.  They may also assist doctors by handing them needed instruments during surgery.  They deliver specimens to hospital laboratories for analysis, and take patients to the recovery room after the surgery. 

Average Salary:  $16,000 - $22,000

Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED certificate is required.  Many vocational and junior colleges offer programs in operating room technology, and training may also be taken at large hospitals.  Students receive training in medical terminology, physiology, and sterilization methods.  At the end of the training period students must pass an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists to become certified.

I don't want to be an operating room technician because i don't like to see a lot of blood. I am too nervous so i think i would not be able to see someone risking his or her life. I think that career is a good oportunity to learn the names of the useful tools that are necessary to make any surgery.
