I think this quote means that the biggest reward that you get for doing what is right is you own criteria about what you have done. I like this quote because i believe that our biggest enemies are ourselves because no one can make a decision for us but only ourselves, so if you made a mistake it was because you chose that but if you did a big accomplishment that you had dreamed with it is your own reward for your hard work.
Working hard can drive you far and only you can reward yourself. Choose the right and reward yourself with a big sign of respect and dignity reflected in your actions and in your thoughts
